ReturnWell was founded by practising physiotherapists Mohamed Elmasri and Kenan Manasirli, who initially set out to create a better software for managing WC/CTP cases within their own clinics. Through this process, they identified that the real constraint on outcomes was not simply clinical capability, but fragmented data, disconnected workflows and compartmentalisation across stakeholders.

Insurance systems in workers compensation and CTP are constrained by fragmented communication, manual referrals, inconsistent performance visibility, and disconnected data across insurers, case managers, rehabilitation providers and health practitioners. These gaps delay care, increase claim duration and costs, overload case managers, and contribute to burnout and disengagement across the ecosystem.

Our solution resolves this by operating on a secure, centralised dataset (Clinara) that connects all stakeholders while integrating seamlessly with existing insurer, WRP, and health clinician management softwares. At the core is an AI-driven auto-referral engine that intelligently matches injured workers to the most appropriate providers based on verified performance metrics. Such metrics include outcomes, timeliness, capacity, and historical claim results, rather than manual selection or static panels. It will also take into account geographical, language and even the nature of injury into account (e.g. hand injury, rather than simply musculoskeletal).

Every referral, interaction, outcome, and decision is captured and stored within the centralised data layer, creating a single source of truth across the claim lifecycle. This enables real time visibility, auditable decision making, and continuous performance benchmarking. Over time, the system learns and improves, driving faster recoveries, reduced claim durations, lower leakage, and more consistent outcomes.
